If you havn't noticed all these posts are after 1am on Saturday night - because tonight is Rolla's Artificial Intelligence programming competition, called Space! You get a mothership in space, and spawn fighter ships and repair drones to swarm the enemy, and hopefully beat all the enemy AI's into anti-matter dust. Nathan and I are on a team, and now regularly cream the default CPU opponent. There's a live stream of random teams' AI's fighting on the big projector up front. It looks like we could beat many of them, even though our AI is less code than the sample code given to start. The final battle is tomorrow at noon, and now I'm going to sleep!
